Our Staff: Carter McCoy

Born and raised in California, Carter McCoy earned BA degrees in History and Political Science from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. After completing his undergrad education Carter worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. After the 2000 election cycle Mr. McCoy decided to attend graduate school and eventually earned an MA in International Relations and Asian Politics from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Mr. McCoy has spent much of the past 19 years teaching, mentoring and leading students. Since 2005, Mr. McCoy has been teaching and leading experiential education programs in history and civics. An active waterman, when Carter is not in the classroom teaching, he can often be found either in or on the ocean.
